Synopsis

Flower Code, an ancient Chinese numeral system once vital to trade, now survives not only in archives but in Hong Kong's quiet corners. In those restaurants, the code is alive in hand-writing menus and bills. Some display it as a dead object and part of their tradition and past. Though barely read today, its fading symbols cling to life. In their quiet defiance, they ask: What holds a city’s soul when its past slips away?
