About the Workshop


Join James Campbell (Global Head of Marketing, Intellect Books & Journals) for an insightful workshop on navigating the evolving publishing landscape. James will share practical advice on how to achieve your publishing goals and improve your chances of success.


The workshop will be divided into two parts:

  • The first section will cover key topics related to academic and scholarly publishing.

  • The second section will be an open Q&A, where attendees are encouraged to ask questions.


Topics covered:

  • Choosing the right publisher

  • Submitting to a scholarly journal

  • Developing a compelling book proposal

  • Turning your dissertation into a book

  • Open Access publishing

  • The impact of AI and LLMs on publishing

  • Identifying and avoiding predatory publishers

  • Understanding journal rankings and impact factors


Questions are welcome throughout the session.
